The Trunk Series

Each trunk handmade direct from its pattern by a team of very skilled craftsmen who move like a team of sergeants cut to order one at a time personalized for you. This is not a prototype so there is no need to mass produce such quality. As I watched them hammer in the rivet I asked “why don’t you guys use a kickpress or something?” the group laughed and one of the guys replied “We old school my friend, the only machine that will touch this will be for your stitching.”

There came a time at one point that I felt I might have to put this amazing trunk design on hold and move forward. Lo and behold one of my manufactures is a follower of the website. Shortly after the post I get a phone call requesting a meeting. Two days later I'm in his office and he's asking to get a better understanding of what is the vision, where is the “artistic glitch” and what's the over all problem we keep running into?

I shared with him that unlike many new labels, my motivation is simple. I'm putting a fresh spin on accessories.I'm casting some of NYCs' streets finest as models and personally photographing the shoots.

With a well structured website as my look-book, and a steady flow of cool content, I will present the project to the world. Forming a black-and-white project will set the stage for my first collection of trunks, bags and hard-goods that mix modern styles with Raw cuts, quality craftsmanship and innovative design. Finally, by calling in some of the most experienced craftsmen in New York, as a young upstart the collection when completed must speak for itself! Then, after bearing my soul he look at me and replied "Oh is that all? Say no more my friend, DONE!" Only in NEW YORK!
